Banana prices set to tumble



thank god for that, i was getting a bit tired of all the whinging about the price of nanas

I wonder if we will see them for the equivalent of 59p a kilo ?

That is entirely possible as i was buying at $1.99 a kg last summer. The current prices are the exception not the rule.

Absolutely, they might get down to $1.99 but amazingly we won't see the at the price we see them in the UK for some strange reason. In my opinion you can't beat a big Fyfes banana for flavour.

Apples are delicious at the moment. I priced a job in crockenhill, kent yesterday and the old fella gave me a bag of apples and i've nearly eaten the lot, so sweet and juicy (bit like our tilly)
