      Divorce-custody-child traveling to the UK

Hello, does anyone know the answer to this? I am considering divorce. In the case of a divorce, I know my spouse will not allow our child to travel to the UK with me to visit family. Can I legally oppose this and get the right to travel with the child?

      Thanks.

Hi - you will need to get advice in the country in which you now live. If your spouse prevents you from relocating with your child, you may be able to apply to the local court for 'leave to remove' your child. If you take your child and relocate without your husband's permission, your husband may try and have your child returned under the Hague (abduction) convention (if the country in which you live now is a signatory), or another legal route. Definitely get advice from an expatriate lawyer who is familiar with these issues.
