    Migrants should be taught to wear deodrant

    What can I say??? apart from being absolutely disgusted at the comments made on Tuesday by Opposition Citzenship Spokeswoman Teresa Gambaro
    Her comments are;
    Migrants should be taught to wear deodrant and wait in queues
    Australian Employers who hire Migrants on tempory visas should provide education on health ,hygene and lifestyle matters
    She has since apologised for this comment

    When I see the next person queue jumping here, dressed in thier pyjamas, with filthy matted hair and nothing on thier filthy black bare feet, stinking of B.O, I will just know they are migrants

    Maybe she should of suggested these lessons for everyone in Australia, with personal hygene problems,,,and those who queue jump,,,not just migrants.
    What annoys me though, is the hoops we have to jump through to get here, we have to have tests for all sorts HIV etc, and yet we come here and there is so many dirty people around, I wonder why they thought we might infect them???

    It is absolutely disgusting to suggest something like that. I have come across many people seemingly from many different countries (including Australia)that have no idea about personal hygiene. To make it a migrant issue is unbelievably crass.

    I'll agree that there are probably more smelly people in qld than i've ever seen/smelt. I put ut down to the tropical climate but then thought how Thai people didn't smell as bad as the qld-ers. Maybe its the vast qtys of fast food they eat or the water restrictions, i remember at work a lot of the blokes would just keep layering on the lynx, it was referred to "a shower in a can". It left them smelling of BO tinged with a fusion of old spice and brut 33.
    Those tight fitting shorts and filthy bare feet the men all walk around with cant help, or the women walking around supermarkets at 2pm still in pyjamas speaks volumes about the Aussie hygiene attitude.

    I have also seen dirty people around in Australia but not all of them were immigrants so it would be wrong to give this tag only on to immigrants. Why they don't take bath daily :( bad smell is killing
