Call me a liar - I kill you!!Not really
I think 100,000 is a conservative figure to be honest, manufacturing has all but disappeared, retail is on the edge and building is down. Anyone who believes the farcical Government unemployment figures is kidding themselves, it's a national disgrace. Some say the true figure is well over 10%. Don't worry though because mining is booming.
Thing is, when the jobs become scarcer in Australia, they usually cut back on the skilled visas until things pick up, but here in the uk, migration just carries on regardless because we are ruled by Europe and thats why over 8 out of 10 new jobs created go to people from over seas, when we have 2.5 million people out of work its disgraceful, we should put our kids first and when we need over seas workers, i am happy for them to come in. Most new jobs created here in the uk are either part time, or low paid and the outlook is grim at present.
Australia. Voted the 2nd best country in the world to live in, i think it will be above France now, so its probably the best country.

The disgusting thing about the Bluescope Steel affair is that as mentioned in the story the executives paid themselves $3 MILLION in bonuses while sacking 1000 workers.

'According to the company, 82 per cent of Australians don't fly Qantas or Jetstar when they go overseas.' That quote is interesting, I thought Aussies would be more patriotic to be honest but I suppose when times get tough price is everything.
