NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell has defended his government's decision to get rid of thousands of public servants, saying they must work harder if they want to keep their jobs.Handing down his budget yesterday, Treasure Mike Baird said slashing 2500 public service jobs a year for the next four years would save the government $2.2 billion.
Mr O'Farrell also defended his government's decision to cut more than $1 billion in government services without specifying where the cuts will be made.
