Thread: Rainbow Beach

I am taking the family to Rainbow Beach for 3 days leaving tomorrow, we have been meaning to go for a couple of years now so it's now or never. It is supposed to be really nice up there and even though none of us are really into the beach as such there seems to be plenty to do.

Isnt that like saying you dont like fishing, and then going on a fishing trip, have a lovely time anyway

Well Rainbow Beach wasn't exactly rainbowy but it was very nice, the boys expected the beach to be rainbow coloured. We saw some whales which was nice, went to Tin Can Bay to feed the Dolphins but the line of people was VERY long and there was only 2 dolphins so we decided to go for a drive instead. It is very expensive but quite nice, we played a few rounds of golf and saw a snake so all in all a pleasant few days.

Haha, that reminds me of the last time we went to Bournemouth, 15 pounds to park the car for the day, and people queing just to que, amazing

I don't like Bondi, up here we have loads of beaches that we can have to ourselves.

Where is Rainbow Beach, any photos?

Hi Kate, it's been a long time, hope you are well ?
Rainbow Beach is basically the gateway to Fraser Island. It's nice but because friends had been going on about it for years I think we expected more.
