I wouldent want to be poor anywhere either, but I would rather be with friends in the UK, and know I would be helped, and have a roof over our heads.
Talking of high prices, I ordered some toiletries and medicene supplies, from home today and was so shocked at how much I have been having to pay for anti-histimines here. $20 for a box of 30,,,the same ones at home 63p!!! OMG, and that sort of price comparrison was the same for most of the things I ordered.Delivery was 13 pounds for a huge box of things, and I have saved a fortune

There was a more recent article in the telegraph that lloyds tsb have brought out online expat finance site.
It covers property, school fees and a general cost of living in oz (as well as other major countries).
