Yes I have doubt the figures are manipulated everywhere, amazingly some do believe the ridiculous figures bandied about.
The same is true here I'm afraid, people having to take any job they can just to make ends meet and this will get worse as more and more jobs disappear. The majority of new jobs not in the mining sector unfortunately are either part time, temporary or low paid.
Any apparent negativity I would say stems from the desire to balance things out, Australia is in no way Utopia or nirvana and is suffering all the issues the rest of the world is.

It's the school leavers here I feel for opportunities are dire for them currently.

On another note on the first page when I come into the Australia section of the forum there are 9 fairly negative threads started about Australia why the negativity here?

    Thanks 'John'
Soon to be back in the undisputed NUMBER 1 country in the world.....ENGLAND.

Still alot better there than the uk though, 3% less unemployment for a start.
Australia. Voted the 2nd best country in the world to live in, i think it will be above France now, so its probably the best country.
