Thread: Work Visa

Has anyone applied to NZ House in London for work visas?
We sent our visa applications on Friday and I have confirmation they were signed for today at 12.30.
I was wondering how quick they are??

Just to let you know when I applied, I made sure all the paper work was sorted and everthing double checked I sent it off.
And it took less than a week to get the blue sticker.
Mind you it was for 12 months as after having a good look at the booklet for applying for a work permit, for 12 months you don't need a medical so went that way as if you don't settle you have saved some cash. But if you want to stay medicals are cheaper in NZ, and you save more.

Hi Sheena,
I'm back in UK, as OH didn't want to come out as there was a family problem. That was a year ago on Monday.
But wish I was back, can't find work even when I started my business back up. jobs still been advertised for my trade(Locksmith), and I know there is a shortage in Australia but now the ripe old age of 49 so unless I get a wiever for age no chance of OZ.

Where in N. Northumberland are you? if you don't mind my asking. I was born in Northumberland and lived there for 23 yrs. before coming to Canada 51 yrs. ago. Still have a brother and his family there.

Many years ago I had relatives who lived in Alnwick, on Wagon Way --- no longer exists. I lived closer to Morpeth.

:jimlad:Cool, Liz its a small world. Weather here is starting to change as if we had any summer. Playing havoc with my arthritous, usualy ok for winter but hey just take more tabelets.
