Thread: Emigrating to Vancouver.

Hi my name is Rosalind, i am relocating to Vancouver in April 2009.

I wonder if there is anybody out there who can give me any information.

I am really excited about the move but wary, any information and encouragement would be gratefully accepted.

Hi Rosalind, my names Tracey and I currently live in vancouver. Andy my fiance came over from the UK in February 08 and i joined him in November so haven't been here long.

Where in Canada will you be relocating?

You should be excited and of course you'll be wary, it isn't an easy decision to make leaving everything that is familiar and entering the unknown. Just think of it as an adventure. Have you been to Canada before?

No i haven't been to Canada before.

I will be relocating to Vancouver, i have a job as a Mental Health Nurse in a dettox centre in Vancouver City somewhere, not sure of the exact location as yet. My move will be possibly April 2009.

I am very excited about my move but also very wary.

For the first month my company will be putting me up in short term furnished accomodation, if you know anything about accomodation in Canada in general please let me know

Any other information you can give me will be gratefully appreciated.
