    Toronto + Autism

I got a second interview with a large company based in Toronto but I have reservations as to whether or not Canada would be any good for my autistic son. Yeah, I know immigration can block families with disabled family members, but the company in question seem to think they can get around that loophole.

I’d really appreciate any insight you may have of getting educational support for a 6 year old with ASD... What sort of schooling could I expect for my son, how big are the class sizes, what is the teacher/pupil ratio, how long does it take to get the child assessed, how much do I need to pay, are there any support groups etc etc

    Much appreicated

Hi and welcome to Brits Abroad, it's a number of years since I lived and worked in Toronto, so maybe one of our other members can you give you more up to date information. Personally I think Autism is well catered for in Toronto compared to other countries.
