Thread: Artists In Barcelona

I am thinking of moving for a while to Barcelona and was wondering if anyone has an idea of what area I should base myself in. I am an artist and would love to be involved in the Barcelona Art community.

I would always sugggest that when choosing an area in which to live that you take your time with this. Take a few holidays there first spending each day going around the different areas until you find one that you like the most.
I have never been to Barcelona so can not advise you on a good part to live but i do hear it is incredibly beautiful and very arty. Property is likely to be a little more expensive there though

ive lived in barcelona in three different areas and in my opinion, as a graphic designer (i know not quite an artist but....) theres two areas next to each other called Gracia and Eixample. both very nice and although it looks like theyre far from the center (Plaza de Catalunya, Barceloneta, Barri Gotic etc) the metro there is amazing and fast.
