Police today issued their latest rogues gallery of wanted British expats hiding in Spain's 'Costa del Crime'.
Investigators are hunting murderers, a sex offender, a 'high-risk' paedophile and a drug trafficker hiding there. They are urging British expats to turn the criminals in.
The Serious Organised Crime Agency have so far tracked down 46 out of 60 wanted criminals in Spain since the launch of Operation Captura five years ago.
Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers has joined forces with the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) in the campaign.
Lord Ashcroft, founder of Crimestoppers, said: 'A small number of suspected criminals see Spain as a safe place to evade law enforcement but, thanks to the confidence the UK, Spanish and expat communities have in Crimestoppers, these individuals will not be able to escape justice for much longer.'
Andy Baker, deputy director of SOCA said they were confident that expats could help them track down the latest gallery of suspects.
He said:'Operation Captura has proved immensely successful, not only in aiding the arrest of individuals attempting to hide amongst the expat community in Spain, but also as a means of raising the profile of these individuals and making Spain a hostile environment for British criminals.' Soca and Crimestoppers are appealing for help finding these 10 suspects.
