Your reasoning makes me laugh Peacock.... I live in Canada where we have to deal with almost 6 months of winter.... ten times worse than the UK... colder and more snowy, also it gets dark here early in the winter.... yet you don't see thousands of people lining up at the Australian Embassy wanting out of Canada. Stange as some people bang on about the weather and how much better Australia is for the weather.

I guess us Canadians must be pretty stupid eh for not wanting to escape the "Great White North" and go live "Down Under" in the land of sunshine.

When I was looking at emigrating to Australia, I did not find any sites for Canadians emigrating... that is how I ended up on PIO (which btw was very useful).... when I lived in Perth for 2 years, I only came across one other Canadian in the whole 2 years I was there. Now when I went to Joondalup for the first time, I wasn't sure if I was in Australia or England because of all the english accents.

At the end of the day, people can bang on about the weather in different countries, but at the end of the day, it is how you embrace the weather where you live and make the most of it. 30 million Canadians have !!

    Good points Karen.

I've just got back from Los Arcos which is a terrace bar with a large play area with swings and stuff for the kids. Its been miserable today and i thought it would be dead but it was a great laugh. The kids where still playing outside having a great time. It'll take a bit more than a bit of rain to dampen our spirits.
