Thanks, would be nice to hear from someone so fingers crossed. We started off with Oz and NZ but because of age etc realise it's probably out of our reach, thought about Spain but then looked at Portugal which seems to be a better option for us at the mo.

Hi, we have been living in Central Portugal for around 5 years now, been running a couple of business for about 3 years, Central Portugal is a nice relaxed place to live, very low crime rate and its still cheap to live here.

Where are you thinking of moving to?

Omostra06 - We were looking at Vila de Rei and Gois but to be honest the humidity % and high rainfall have put us off , we were gutted which was a real shame as we had found a property we were tempted by! It's absolutely gorgeous in Central Portugal and will definately be visiting in the near future.

    Hi,
Those places are a bit north of where we live, they can be wetter and colder in the winter, especially Gois, gets bad winter weather, even snow....

Did you explore the region around Tomar and Abrantes, near the big lake?
