NEEDED: Expat with a big heart living on the Algarve.

Four nights ago a four week old kitten was abandoned outside my parents villa near Guia. After a visit to the vet we were told he has a broken leg.

Four days on and he is coping with his leg really well, he has gone from being scared and very thin to full of beans and fattening up. He has even mastered the litter tray and so far hasn't even had one accident. He spends his days sleeping or playing and is just the cutest kitten (see pics if you don't believe me!).

The problem now is what do do with him at the end of summer. If my parents lived here he could stay, but they leave in September. I would take him home if at all possible, but after talking to the vet it would take the best part of a year to get all the official bits done and by then he'd be settled here. So I need an expat willing to add a little one to their family - I can assure you he would make a fine addition!

He would need a home from September, by then his leg would be healed (although he will always have a limp) and he would have been vaccinated.

I have got a place for him at a rescue centre, but he ultimately needs a home so if you can help or know anyone who can please get in touch.

Thanks Andy, I really hope someone out there can take him...

Just a quick update for anyone interested...

He had a second visit to the vet yesterday and she was amazed at how great his leg is looking, she could still feel the break, but you can hardly tell when he walks... and runs which he seems to be doing more of every day - maybe he is a super kitty???

I would grab the opportunity to adopt him now before word gets out!!!
