Looking at the forum thread list there doesn't appear to be much going on lately......

How's about input from expats informing where they're from, where they are now and what they're up to at present ie work or leisure.

Be nice to get to know some of you.

I am Kate, been in Australia since 2004 came from Manchester North England and never looked back, settled in Melbourne but recently moved up to Cairns, my only regret is that we didn't move here sooner. Work wise I was a relocation agent although had to slow things down because of health reasons so now I help my OH on the internet.

Kate, you were not far from me. I'm from Birmingham. At least you made the move some years ago and escaped the pits of UK. Am sure you've chosen a wonderful place to live. I've only been away from UK the last 1.5 years and never regretted one moment of it. Although I left behind my lovely daughter but she's married and settled and at least my son moved out to Dubai last October where we share a lovely villa.
