      I 130 Visa

Hi, first post from a newcomer so please be gentle if I am asking a question that has been asked/answered several times.
My husband and I are looking to emigrate to the US. My sister has lived in California for 25 years and 3 years ago got her citizenship so she could file for Visa for me.
The application was received on 30 June 2010.
So, what I am wondering is
      1) has anyway emigrated to the US in this way
      2) if so, how long did it take for the Visa to be approved, and
      3) after approval, how long did it take to finally get the go ahead to move.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sibling visas are currently taking about 11-12 years to process, I have not been through that process as we are on work visas. HTH

I can sympathise as I have relatives who would like to retire over here, sisters, but the wait is far too long and tbh I think the health insurance costs (if they could get it!) would put them off.
