      Job in USA

Hi. I'm thinking of a job opportunity in US. Anybody advise about UK or US tax, health and pension rules?

      Hi and welcome,

Firstly what visa will you have? Without a visa, green card or being a USC you won't be working or living in the USA.

Tax will depend on where you live, different states tax differently e.g. New York add a city tax on.

Health, there is no healthcare system so you will need insurance, the best way is to get it through your employer, each pay packet will have money taken out before tax. How much depends on the employer and how good their benefits are.

Pension, google 401K, very similar to the UK as in some companies will pay into it some don't or will put a delay on it e.g. you have to work at the company for so long etc.
