      Moving to the USA

      Hi all,

I want to move to American some time soon and i want to know what type of visa i need to get and if i had a good chance of getting one?
I'm 22, I'm a Carpenter, i have 5 years of experience, including a level 3 diploma is the trade, i also have an american girlfriend.
Would i need to find a job to get the visa?

      Please help, thanks.

If you have an american girlfriend then your best option is going to be marrying her and using one of the two visa paths outlined here (presuming she is a citizen of course).
Getting a work visa as a carpenter is not going to happen at all. The US is one of the hardest countries to emigrate to, as mentioned the one thing you have going for you is your American girlfriend.
