Cool A PC bought in USA will work in UK?

    Hello all,

Can someone help, I'll be going to the USA for a few months this year if I bought a PC (Dell) and took it over to UK will it work ok? I realise a new power adapter may be needed (change in voltage) but would the the pc work?

    Any advice appreciated.

Look on the back of the PC it will tell tou the voltage range usually 110-220 volts. All you should need is the right plug adaptor.
I have an American PC which works fine here in the UK

You should only need a new power transformer to change the 240 uk volts down to the output required. This would do the trick. All other components etc should be to the correct spoc except perhaps the language - American Engrish and not the queens finest.!
