Depends on how much time you think you can spend shoving money in the slot machines! Lol
Some friends of mine are heading out there for a week, at the end of August. That would be too much for me, but they have family out there too, so I suppose it won't all be spent in the casino's...

The guitar purchase is beginning to sound like the reason for the trip, not just. A bonus. .

Which mean $&@;:/- goes to Vegas & doesn't gamble Ziggy & her OH ..... much prefer shopping & buying guitars .... Will do the Grand Canyon trip this year, I did it years ago, oh scared of heights so jibbed it last year, this year though he said he's up for it ..... He's walking

I can't say I blame you for not playing the slots, the house always wins :winking:

The Grand Canyon, I take it you'll do the glass bridge out over it? You have to!

Well, (a little belatedly .. sorry), I had the best ever birthday on my holiday - absolutely wonderful time. Highlights: Pearl Harbour - I cried at the memorial, I didn't realise that the memorial stood over the wreckage of the Arizona and the service men buried with her are still considered on active service. San Fran - loved this place, every single thing, the pier, clam chowder, Ghiardelli chocolate, riding the trams, the seals (noisy and smelly), walking across the golden gate bridge and seeing the mist come into the bay, and Alcatraz was perfect. Vegas - Cirque du soliel (Beatles) at the Mirage, The Grand Canyon West Rim - and meeting Hualapai Indians. LA Santa Monica and Venice Beach, Paramount Studio tour (ended up a private tour for the four of us). Griffith Park Observatory, and Madam Tussauds.

Disney - we love Disney - but feel that Florida is much better than the CA one. Hollywood Bvd, is pretty grotty and a little intimidating at night time, but we had a ball, and my friend flew over from New Jersey to spend some time with us because it was my birthday - we started as pen pals over 20 years ago, and she hadn't met my hubby or kids - so that was a special highlight. Starting saving up now, as hubby wants to go to NYC as he's never been.
