uk to usa. Please help? :)

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm new to the forum

Me and my husband really want to move to the USA (preferably California or that area). We know it won't be easy but it all seems so daunting I really don't know where to start.

We have no relatives/contacts over there. I have been a dental nurse for 6 years and my husband works at a supermarket (which is actually owned by Walmart so I don't know if this will help at all). I don't know how possible it would be to find a sponsor or get a job over there whilst still living here. I heard my job may be in demand?

We have no children but no savings as of yet so we would need to get some money together before doing anything.
I appreciate any information or advice
      Thanks
      Becca :)

      Hi Becca,

Based on what you have said I hate to say it but your chances are nil :( Without immediate family, chances of a work visa are out as the jobs you hold aren't classed as 'specialised' or a minimum of $500K spare I am afraid there is nothing you are eligible for :( Sorry.

Hi, I just joined this site today. Maybe you already figured it out but I would just encourage you to not give up if you have a dream. I came to the USA with nothing and knew no-one. I did however have faith that it would all work out and I was willing to have it be difficult. It was. The first few years were really hard. I am happy to say that I now have 3 children and have been living here in Sausalito California for several years.

basiclaly you will have very little chance of getting a working visa before you come to the USA, I would suggest the following but not ideal.........come over for 3 months, network and get to know as many people ass possible.......your dream can become a reality based on who you meet and when you meet them. If you want it then it can be done, never give up basically.
