British Expats Abroad no longer Lager Louts

The traditional image of the British lager lout may not be quite what it once was after a new report released today by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) shows the number of boozy Brits arrested overseas has fallen by over ten per cent.

However there is still plenty of work for the FCO to helping distressed Brits abroad as they assist with over 19,000 cases a year, covering anything from hospitalisation to lost and stolen passports.

This is good news, i hated the image of English expats being lager louts but unfortunately it was quite accurate. My mum relocated to Spain and there were so many beer swilling English idiots in Malaga near her it was terrible. Hopefully the more of us that do move we can change this image further and for the better
