    Cost of Living Comparison

Well not quite a "cost of living" comparison but a comparison of every day items like a coffee, beer, fags,,, bla bla bla.
It shows the best value for money for Holiday destinations if you're converting UK£s.

Eating out in nice places is expensive here in Perth I have to admit. Cheaper to fly to Bali and have cheapo meals in tropical paradise! We have some favourite family friendly places though only around $30 a head and BYO...makes it do able

The current exchange rate obviously exaggerates the situation but there is no doubt this is now an expensive country to live in and a very expensive country to visit.

Yes I think if you are earning more here then it would be fair to say that it would be less expensive. When I was in the UK recently I was amazed at how cheap SOME things were, not everything by any but a sizable number of things, mostly groceries, fruit and veg that sort of thing. Other things were more expensive.

Without fear of ridicule, thats because 70% of viewers think that this forum is a place where all can live in harmony regardless of preferred country of residence
