Thanks for your reply. That is really encouraging - I thought it would be longer than that! I am just waiting on my midwifery registration paperwork back from NZ then I can send it altogether with the rest of the immigration paperwork. We have had our invitation to apply. Immigration told me I couldn't send my registration later on as the immigration paperwork would be declined as 'incomplete'. So just have to be patient. Hopefully it won't take too long because we can't afford the medicals to expire!!

We can't decide on what area to settle in - probably will be somewhere in Hawkes Bay. When we went to NZ on holiday we stayed in south Auckland in a town called Howick - we loved it and met some cracking people but there is no way we could afford property there - it is mega expensive!

We were actually thinking about hiring a campervan for a month or more in order to check out some different areas. Needless to say that we are saving like mad to afford to do that! Don't know how much fun that would be with two very small children though.

Has your brother and sister pointed you in the direction of good areas to settle?

Well all finally made it..not NZ or Canada but the lovely Australia - I like itthe family oves it.. so much better that I thought. Even managed to produce my own young Australian along the way..

Ahh Gav.. good to see a very old face.. even with one lonely post.. right decision... where abouts? Its a big place.. WA's my back yard..
