Its OK everyone i'm fine. Got here Saturday night and have been busy getting things for the house. I thought i'd landed in the wrong country - sunny and hot, friendly people - infact all the chatting to people at checkouts is holding me up TBH, courteous drivers, loads to do for the kids in Sidcup and Bromley, beutiful parks with amazing trees (never noticed the splendour of English trees before).
Anyway, wad up ?? any dramas since i've been away? any thing anyone need my and ballencedadvice on (i'm here to help)

Are you sure you are in England ? Have you been stabbed by hoodies yet ? Are you on anti depressants because of all the doom and gloom ?

Thanks Cal, the misses has graciously allowed me a whole week to relax before its back to the grind. When she says "relax" she means i have to tile the kitchen and bathrooms because "vinyl just wont do".

jUST PULLED OUT OF THE DVLA CENTER in sidcup and nearly had a head on with a police van!! (driving on 5the wrong side). Haven't had time to take it all in yet but the new home is small compared to my old Spanish place and i don't know how we are gonna cope with all the rubbish reclcling and weeklyt collections after usually going through on average 2 large bin bags and daily collections. I know its summer but must say blighty looks stunning in full bloom. The people are honestly friendly and the place looks cleaner than i remember.
Shopping!! OMG DIY stores are unbelievale, just baught some flooring for the kitchen and expected to pay 350 quid at the checkout and the spotty kid at the till said with the promotions it was only 250 quid!! (result), i was also looking at school uniforms for the kids!! they may as well give them away! and dont get me started on the fruit and veg!
I'm determined to get me some pie n mash this week, so many things to do......

Glad you are settling in well. I was the same, I remembered more rubbish around the place but found the UK generally to be far cleaner. It may have been that I was told a few times about it being dirty. Yes the variety and prices are also an eye opener. I was also prepared for everyone to be miserable and didn't find it at all, maybe you get back what you give ?
