Thread: Riots in London....

Is this just trouble makers, or is it something deeper.

This does not portray London in a good light. Or have things really gone down hill that much since I left.

I think this will be the first riot of many in the coming days, the official reason for this riot is the shooting of that innocent guy who accidently shot that copper, but theres been alot of looting of shops and the news is reporting that it is one of many areas in London, where gun crime, drugs and unemployment is chronic, its sure a sad day seeing a part of our capital on fire, but ............ hold on to your hats, with things going from bad to worse here with nearly 1 million youths unemployed, i think it will be happening again soon.

Sorry I am not in the UK, the first I heard of this was on the internet this afternoon, So if I understand you, a copper shot someone who had shot another copper, and this lead to riots..... geezzzz

I'm not 100% certain, but i think he was a well loved and cherished ............ senior gang member and his peeps decided to burn the area down ............ looks horrendous, but its no real surprise.

In a huge metropolitan area like London you are sure to get the od riot. Even in places like Australia they have riots, i believe there one going on right now at an immigration detention centre somewhere and another one due on "ban the burqa" day

These things happen everywhere, it has nothing to do with youth unemployment as the rate is almost the same here. It's just the same rent a mob that always looks for trouble. Of course it is possible to look at it as the beginning of the end for the UK or however you want to twist it but the facts seem to be that a copper was shot at by a thug and was killed. No real loss.

Sky are saying it could be linked to high unemployment, the looting of shops and bank machines, i'm not certain i think it could be just pure evilness. they say the gangs run the areas and no one dare go out at night.

Isn't there one incident in Birmingham ? Not really stretching across the country but dont let facts get in the way ;)

Just following the news thread, now in Liverpool, just a minor incident setting fire to police cars etc, what would you class as a major incident
