Was browsing the BBC website earlier today and started reading an article about how the average temperate of UK homes is increasing (I know that doesn't exactly sound thrilling reading:eek:) - article here - BBC News - How warm is your home?
Anyway, the bit that caught my eye (given that I'm now living in the tropical north) was a table showing Room temperature v health risk show below.
- 18-21C - comfortable temperature
- 9-12 or 24+C: Risk of stroke and heart attack
- 21-24C or 16-18C - increasing discomfort
- 12-16C - risk of respiratory disease
- Less than 9C - risk of hypothermia
Specifically, a room temperature of 24+C puts you at risk of stroke and heart attack? Got to admit, never heard that one before.
