Thread: Bloody foreigners.

I just watched a story about foreign Tradesmen coming to Australia, undercutting the locals and taking all the work. As I was watching it all seemed very familiar.
One thing I did find interesting is that apparently work visas are being handed out to people in trades where there is quite high unemployment and lots of tradesmen looking for work. They were saying that some of these blokes were quoting half the price for the same job. As long as the work is a suitable quality I know which one the vast majority would choose, especially nowadays.

Have you ever rang for a tradie. We wanted a car port concreted a few years ago, oh could not get anyone to do it, not a big enough job. In the end a guy did it for us between jobs, got paid the dosh on the day he had originally had off. Bet he is not chasing work and if he is he will have money behind him, willing to take the job.
