Thread: Brr its cold this winter

Beautiful day today sunny and may get into the garden without the flies wonderful.

My cousin tells me they have only had one day of summer in Grimsby.

apparently at home in shetland, they have had a better summer than the rest of the u.k, now thats something i can tell you

no its good to be here, just need friends, someone who will pop in for a cuppa and visa versa

I hope you find friends to chat to soon Molly. I know when I moved here
(east lothian from west lothian)
it seemed to be such a long time before I found a good mate.
But it will happen.
My parents were all set to move to Aus when I was about 2 but my
dad chickened out.
His cousin and his wife had to move over on there own so I can imagine
how hard it is.
My younger brother now lives in the states with his wife and family
and it is odd to think of the distance.
Thank goodness for phones and the internet.

The Shetlnds must have had it better than the rest of us because all
the rain seems to have fallen here ! :twitcy:

yes i gather shetland had the best summer for the whole of the u.k, of course i was not there to see it, but am sure they all appreciated it.
