Yes Avoncliffe is in Wiltshire, near Bradford on Avon, probably about 15 or 20 miles apart. If I didn't have time there are 6 or 7 other good pubs in-between

...............I do miss the english pubs......................Taverns................. although good enough in their own right................lack the ambience of a true English pub.........

You're not wrong there Aldo...need a mortgage for a swift half...Australia does not do 'the pub' thats because decent boozers are steeped in history and atmosphere and much as I love Perth the 'English' themed pubs are nothing short of frankly- rubbish. The bars are as good as any overpriced bar in the Uk though.
