    Gripe of the day

Aldo, I did give you the opportunity to start this one but alas........

My gripe happened 2 nights ago. Decided to have an early night as was knacked and having to rise early Sunday morning for work. Went to bed listening to a neighbour having an outdoor party - hmm not best pleased but hoped that it would run its course within an hour or so. Nope, the raucous must have woke me up about 4 times out of my sleep. So, irritated by their lack of consideration, went out onto my balcony and screamed across the garden at them. They either couldn't hear me with the noise or decided to ignore me. Pfft. OK so I will go to their house and complain which I did do. Won't go into detail with what I said but how infuriating peeps having outdoor party knowing full well it's a work night and others have to work the next day. Of course it then broke my sleep and took me ages to zzzzzzzzz it again, so in effect was b*******sed the next day at work. GRRRR :realmad:

a week last friday i had a little get together with some friends at my house and the last people left at 4am and we was all out on the terrace so i can't really comment on your gripe.
I do know though that in some places like blackpool you are likely to get a shovel in head for having a party:twitcy:

My advice though is to just let it pass, otherwise you just get worked up and can't sleep anyway and then the bsards can't complain when you have a party. As long as its only onn rare occasions its ok IMO.

Sorry Aldo, can't agree. I have consideration for my neighbours, especially as you never know when in time you may need to call upon them for an emergency so would not wish to upset them by my selfishness. You say you had a party on Friday where I'm assuming Saturday is not a normal working day?? Therefore it's not quite the same as partying on a work night knowing full well that the majority of those around you need to arise for work in the morning.

Also agree with the Blackpool shovel as am an extremely fiery person when I get going.

We have never really had any bother with noisy neighbours, but................. because i had a day off in the week, when the sun came out, rare in Yarkshire and it was warm enough to go sun bathing in me speedos in the back garden............. even rarer, i used to play music from my juke box, all the queen classics, ELO, Bryan Ferry.............. pure quality records, lol and.............. I got a letter from the noise abatement people, or someone like that, saying that a complaint had been made about me that i was playing loud music............ EVERYDAY. So i phoned them to explain that i worked all week and that it was only one day when the sun was out and............... they started to get snotty with me, saying they didn't believe me and that they would come round and check on me. I said ............... crack on with it, waste your time, i'm not interested.............. i'm never here. They were real numptys and i thought............. some people are really petty........ it was one afternoon, once every so often. Early morning loud party in the week.......... is a different kettle of fish.

Seems bang out of order Hoff when taking place during afternoon. I love music whilst lazing in the sunshine absorbing the rays and as you say is a rarity in UK . Could be someone of a jealous/bitter nature.

Gripe today..... Every morning I always arrive in the office around an hour early, a) to avoid traffic and b) as office manager it seems fitting I should be first to arrive. Also is nice to have the office to myself for about 1.5 hours. Do my hair, my make up etc. .

Anyhoos when the CEO emerges in the office I sit and pray that he buggers off before 5 so that I can get away on time because if he stays over it means I have to as well. I ended up leaving before him last night and it was almost 5.25 when I left which meant I'd given a good 10 hours in the office. All well and good I don't object to working over IF the work warrants it but when I'm staying over just for the sake of it it does seem rather pointless, irritating and a waste of my valuable time. There's also a knock on effect with the traffic... if I can leave on time I'm home within half an hour BUT staying that little bit extra can easily take me 50 mins to get home.

I was fuming by the time I got home last night. PFFTT

May seem a mild gripe but it is annoying when you have a life outside of work and already put in the extra hours beforehand. Many a time I've had to cancel after work arrangements purely due to staying over for no Goddamn reason whatsoever.

Have to share this coz am so resentful.

My boss decides to retract our Saturdays off due to big project taking place and wants all staff in office in case we're needed so now we're only getting one day off a week. So far I've done 7 Sats in succession and this is meant to continue until end of June. I'm absolutely bloody knacked with only 1 measly day off and the best bit is nobody is entitled to any recompense :realmad:

The best of it is that nobody has owt to do on a Saturday so we all just sit there on t'internet.
    Roll on July.............
