Thread: This makes me so mad.

I like animals generally much more than I do humans, with good reason. This was posted on another forum I am on and it made me so mad, what goes on in their heads ?

'Well, for the second time, drunk people have broken into my school this time killing one chicken by crushing it with the roof of its cage, breaking a lambs leg and dislocating the other so it had to be put down and chasing off another lamb into the bush near the fences. They use bolt cutters and cut the whole entire fence so they can get in. A few months back they stole one of the pregnant sheep, Saffie, let 2 of the roosters out so they could cock fight, resulting in the death of a really nice show quality bantam male, and injuries to the other rooster. Im starting to get sick of it and i cant believe that people could be this cruel. The farm is almost out of money and had to sell our show steers to keep up with costs, now we have to fix the fence. We cant use electric fencing because department of blah blah blah wont let us. The cost of bolt cutter proof fencing is $75,000. How can we raise this much money as every weekend or holiday there is a break in. We cant use cameras because we need elcetricity to the bottom paddock which will cost heaps.'

The thing is if they got caught they would get away lightly. They are sick people :(

I doubt they would even get a criminal record to be honest, a slap on the wrist and maybe 20 hours community service.

Please don't. It just enrages me

I have maintained for many, many years that I prefer animals to humans and some guys think I'm looped but it saddens me to admit this but the majority of peeps I have befriended have sh!t on me for no other reason than their own self desires. Whenever I meet a true, genuine person I treasure them. Animals don't have hidden agendas, they react as their instincts advise. Any animal I have owned has been more than dependable.

A story of German Shephard I had in UK who was very ill and near deaths door to the detriment that she could hardly walk....... My husband and I were in bed asleep and we were woken up by our dog tear ars!ng through the kitchen, growling and banging into the kitchen chairs. We just said to one another that perhaps a cat was prowling on her territory and promptly went back to sleep. The following day I discovered that she had chased off burglars who climbed over our back fence and went into conservatory attempting to steel my husband's golf clubs (there wasn't much more they could take really but they were worth some value) and even though she was really ill she still summoned up the strength to protect her family. Don't think anyone who's sane enough would wish to challenge an annoyed German Shephard

So sorry to hear about the animals at school. We had the same think happen here a few weeks ago. It does seem to be happening a lot these days and I wonder does it just get reported more or are some people becoming more sadistic. Worrying. So upsetting for the children.

Yeah it's an interesting point. I never heard of things like this years ago or when I was a kid or was it that we weren't bombarded with it as we are now ? My own opinion is that people are becoming less caring.

I think "less caring" is being nice about it Chris. Lets face it, even though we do not want to think it, the psychs tell us that people who are cruel to animals have problems and does this mean we have more people like that these days. The found a Kangaroo the other day with an arrow through its head. Hardly week goes by that we do not read of some animal cruelty.

Yes that is true, maybe people are becoming desensitised to it as we are being exposed to it all the time ? I hate animal cruelty. Amazingly I have been accused of cruelty because I feed (dead) rodents to snakes

I have seen some terrible cases of animal cruelty in my years and have broken down in tears numerous times.
