    Photo course.

My wife bought me a 4 hour Photo Course headed up by Stephen Jones, probably one of the leading photographers in the area. It's amazing even when you know how to take photo's how much better they can get when you get a pro to fill in a few gaps in the knowledge. It was nice though when he looked at my shots and said I really didn't need much help The good thing about the current digital SLR cameras is that they do almost everything for you but the bad thing is that they make you lazy when taking photo's and you need to learn the potential of the camera and yourself.
    tonyman and mizelli like this.

I've given in with mine, I just prefer to be able to press a button, plus the Iphone 4 does a good job, well I think so and Aldo must as he keeps thinking I've photo shopped them, if only I knew how
Mind you I think Rob has taken over the reigns. Webweazel is wonderful and is trying to get me back on the right path and I know I would enjoy it as I always took better photos than Rob.

It can be quite frustrating, I went through a stage when every shot I took looked ordinary at best but I persevered and worked out what I was doing wrong. My main issue has always been composition because I took mostly wildlife shots and lots of macro so composition wasn't so much of an issue. Even setting the light source before you take the photo makes an enormous difference, if the camera is set for fluorescent and the light source is actually incandescent it makes an enormous difference to the finished photo.

Haha, I am more than happy to help anyone with their photography.
It is amazing how a few hours with a pro can clarify so many things, there were quite a few 'oh yeah' moments, it all made perfect sense but needed to be pointed out.
