Seen this one before, it's clever. Interestingly... the presentation was created in 2006.

You can tell how things have moved on since then too because "myspace" is mentioned again and again but has already been overtaken by "facebook", so yeah, things keep changing.

LIke the Fatboy soundtrack, it fitted the whole thing really well.

The scarey thing about the message is the fact that the US is falling way behind on the basic educational standards needed to keep them ahead.

I've always thought that Indai and China would move ahead in terms of interllect and ability to suceed. You only have to look at the last few years. The world relys on India & Chian for their goods. CHina supports the US bond system and soon, I reckon the middle classes of China will looksto the USA and the world to support their lifestyles!

I remmeber going to china four years ago.. very little cars, more bikes than anything else, went back there last October and wow what a difference.. hundread of cars and even the off McDonalds and KFC.. a huge change i such a few years.

You only have to look at the work ethic in the Indian and Chinese people here to realise that their desire to succeed is greater than the average American.
I've heard plenty of american people here saying that China will never become what the US is because it can't sustain it's own economy.... hello? That's just ignorance and arrogance.
The fact that China is bankrolling the US and has been for the last 4 years because of the Iraq situation is something that nobody can deny. China and India are zooming ahead, while we here basically... aren't.
We in the west have given China and India the means to succeed and keep rolling by importing cheaply made manufactured goods and out-sourcing cheap labour like call centres - including everything from banking to washing machine and mobile phone helplines. Now that's what they are doing and will keep doing all the time they have their own cheap labour and can export.
History repeats itself in may ways really. You only have to consider how the industrial revolution in Britain that made us a manufacturing and financial power was eventually lost to American cheap labour factories, and more lately how so many things in the US are now made in China for the very same reason. Everyone wants everything, and they want it cheaper than before.

Never a truer word Purps, Chian & India have huge companies and for instance in Australia have made massive investments into land, mining and just about everything else. They are not stupid with their investments either.. they know what to support their economy they need to be sufficient in the longer terms.. one way of doing this is to hold the world to their Beck and Call. Australia would not have the economy it does with CHina - its one of its biggest exporters.

What happens tho when India & China's economies become so large they can take on America, without their current social and econimics issues internally. its only a matter of time!

Absolutely Tim, and it's probably a lot closer than many of us can even contemplate right now. In fact they're probably almost there apart from their internal social issues.
Who even realised for instance that Tata Motors acquired Jaguar and Land Rover? Who even knew they existed until they did that a couple of years ago, and even then it was "who the heck is Tata?"
There's Indian Oil Corp that's investing in oil everywhere it can, and Reliance that are into everything from natural gas to stem cell research. China are growing even faster, and even overtaken Japan as the world's second largest economy now, according to the figures last week.

As you say, they're getting to a point where they can hold the world to their beck and call.

The speed of that progress rate is what is going to take everyone here by surprise I think. Three years ago hardly any working class people in India had a mobile phone, now even the fisherman have them and they use them to negotiate their catch prices before they get back to the shore! The poor people are becoming "tech savvy" in China and India, and we're falling behind. Kinda worrying really.
