      Just been talking to the misses and we was sayinhow nice it would be to have a holliday there next year and show the kids there herritage. so whwer do you think? I thinnk devon or cornwal. morris dancers , maypoles ect, ect...
      what/where would you suggest?
      it happens a lot everywhere in the world...

      I guess if you're showing them their heritage then part of that has to be to visit where you/they were born. My children are a little older so have memories of the UK and a sense of their belonging there - neither want to re-visit at this moment in time.

      Places to visit for me - Dorset, New Forrest, Cornwall, Devon and Edinburgh
      The only people you need in your life are the ones that prove they need you in theirs

      Yes for me it would Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Somerset, Hampshire but also the Lake District.

      I would love to go back for a holiday,, one to catch up with friends and family and the other to visit Abersoch in Wales,,beautiful place with many good memorys.

      I was born in the Memorial hospital Greenwich but its now apartments But Greenwich is nice.

      If we go back for a holiday, I'd like to visit Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare country) & the mightily impressive Warwick Castle which are quite close to each other (As is Alton Towers, which if you don't factor in the theme park, still qualifies in the 'heritage' category)

      Wouldn't it be best to show the kids England warts and all. You don't want them thinking it's all like a Charles Dickens novel. Otherwise if you just show them all the nice parts, they may begin to wonder "so why did you guys move away".

      Yorkshire is nice Aldo. A weekend of walking over the moors and intermittently stopping off at an authentic country pub or two for great home cooked grub
