I am also in Brisbane. I work in a very windy (by open doors) warehouse. It was blowing this morning and I've got to admit, being stood there in my shorts and tee shirt, I was quite cold. I wasn't going to admit that to the Aussies though. They all think I'm a mad Pom who is abviously enjoying a "British Summer".:mask:
The temp should pick up by the weekend.
Sheena, I could be late for your BBQ. It looks like I'm working until 4:30 that day. I'm trying to get a swap.

Hope the Barby goes OK Sheena, have you got
a temperature for where you & Frank are.

Well the rain never showed last night or today, so far,
the weather men and women got it wrong yet again.

Lovely & sunny today with a bit of a breeze
on the south coast, but a warm 25c.

1st Dec is when I "may" get the courage up and dip my toes in our pool! Starting to look forward to the hot summer again.

    Thinking

Well i haven't ever in my 57 years known weather like it.
6 days of solid rain many homes have been flooded many villages
under 3-4ft of water where the rivers have burst their banks.
Wales had 2 inches of rain in just one day.
We had a river of water running down the street where i live
everyone was out taking pics of it.
Sunday was just showery today Monday at the moment is dry
but the rain is supposed to return Tuesday and Thursday and
bring yet more heavy rain & heartache to the communities already
    under water.

    When will it all end.

Its freezing up in Edinburgh really horrible wet weekend I went to work this morning with 4 layers on and kept them on until nearly lunch time and we haven't had any summer it got sunny as the day went on warmer outside than in , My OH said it was getting me ready for the winters in Aus with no central heating reluctant to have the heating on yet as it seems too early,
I read everyone saying about hot Water Bottles I better stock up on them and blankets I expect that will be the thing we miss most central heating
    Best Wishes to everyone
    Evelyn
