For jobs you could try the following
    jobing.com
    careerbuilder.com.
    Monster.com

Before you ask how well they work, I've had no experience with any of them.

    Good luck

Kasley I don't think you will be able to work here without a green card and Florida Certification.
If you tell immigration you're looking for a job, you will most likely be refused entry.
However, I had a look at a couple of websites that might give you advice on getting qualified.

    Avant

Travel Nurse Staffing with AMN Healthcare, the Leader in Quality Nurse Staffing

I found this on another site:

    Quote:

"The H-1B visa allows foreign nurses to be employed by a U.S. employer.
The basic requirement to obtain a qualified position in the U.S by an employer are that the candidate must posses the equivalent of at least a U.S. Bachelors Degree, as well as experience in the field for which approval is sought.
The EB-3 visa is what allows a medical staffing agency to recruit foreign nurses to the USA on permanent resident status. The process currently takes approximately 8 to 12 months.

A job offer must be in place."

Right, if kasley is coming on a VWP, then they will definately NOT be able to work here during their stay. If they do, then they risk deportation and a ban from the US for further visits.
As for needing a green card, that's not strictly true, plenty of people work here on visas with an EAD without having a green card. Won't happen on a VWp though.

As they didnt actually say what visa or VWP they were entering the US on, one can only guess as to what their situation is.

The H1-B does require the employer to file a labour condition application with the Department of Labor before the visa can be processed, so I doubt that they have one of those or they would already have a job and not be asking on here.

As they said they are coming to the US next month, time is against them getting a suitable visa to allow them to work if it's not already in place.

Getting State certified is going to take a while too, even if it was a possibility.

More info is needed from the original poster if they want any more advice.

    Hi Kasley!

Good going! Thats great news. Glad to hear that you managed to do that.
What date do you actually start college over here?
Are you still going to be based in Fort Myers?

    Hey kasley,

That's excellent news, I'm sure you'll have fun. A change is good for the brain.

Hope you have a great time while you're over here, will you try to work towards getting a greencard eventually?
I guess you'll be here for Christmas eh?
