Yes that is good news, all economies work like that and always will.

Long way to go yet, the experts are saying the uk economy is extremely fragile and if petrol goes up there could be the dreaded.............. double dip recession, not that we are really out of recession yet, the economy is just flat lining.............. surely it can't happen?

To be honest since the UK came out of recession a year ago the 'experts' have been predicting all sorts of things. I remember you yourself saying a double dip recession was almost certain now it is considered extremely unlikely. There is always an expert ready to agree with everything.

I only quote what the experts say, i'm no expert, although i know some think i am. lol

The uk economy shrank the last quarter of last year and the countries economy is flat, not much sign of coming out of recession yet, it must be great living in a booming economy country like............. Australia.

The tale of two economies -

      The Australian economy

      By Chris Caton
      Mon 17 Jan 2011

The Australian economy begins 2011 with a fair head of steam. Employment has increased by 3.7 per cent in the past 12 months, and the mining investment boom still has a long way to run.

UK household incomes fall for first time since 1981

Household incomes have suffered their first annual fall in three decades, according to official figures, revealing the extent of the strain on UK households' finances Britons as prices outpace earnings.

Statisticians blamed the annual fall, only the sixth seen since records began more than 60 ago, on the failure of wages to keep up with prices

Just reading that the UK is now on the verge of a double dip recession beacause of the huge cuts, very sad
