Thread: Gday cobbers!

Mind Less by name, mindless by nature, that's me!
Anyways, great to be part of this forum in what appears to be it's infancy, or at least a very troubled childhood. I'm sure I'll be a mod on here sooner rather than later, on account of my wit, charm and sensitivity.
One thing which strikes me about this forum is that it feels so eerily familiar.
The best way I can describe it is like having managed to jump ship on the sinking Titanic, I find myself in a lifeboat, surrounded by a small number of very important crew members. I forgot to mention that whilst on the trip across the Atlantic, I'd been caught shoplifting a few times and finally threatened with the death penalty before a last minute reprieve from the Captain's wife..are you keeping up with this?
So here I am, on the lifeboat, with the Captain, his loverly missus, the purser and couple of other crew members who were more like prison wardens. And there's also a couple of me old rogue mates, right larrikins they are too.
Anyway, the upshot of it all is that the crew find themselves relying heavily on the old rogues to catch the fish, navigate by the stars and sing good sea shanties......

The good ship HMS BritsAbroad has been sailing the ocean for sometime and is not a new vessel. There is however, a new man at the helm and while it is indeed true, that at the moment, there's plenty of room in the boat, god willing and with a good wind behind us, at some point down the line, Robert Shaw will be informing the Captain "You're gonna need a bigger boat"
