      Wink Hi everyone

      Hi everyone
I am new to Brits abroad and I am hoping someone can help or advise, as me and my husband renovate properties and would like to try property renovation in Spain, Costa Brava, Costa Maresme and Costa Blanca. If anyone knows of any reputable estate agents in these area's or any information on the best parts within these area's, It would be much appreciated, as we have only been to certain parts of these areas on holiday.

Did you use the word "reputable" & "estate agents" in the same sentence?! Welcome to Brits ABroad. Sorry I can't help you with the Q tho!

Welcome to Brits Abroad, im afraid ive got no answers to your questions although we did nearly buy a property in spain a few years ago that needed renovating and the more we looked into it the more of a headache we realised it was going to be, cant do this, cant do that, one rule for locals and another rule for foreigners etc. Never heard a good word said yet about estate agents there!
That said im sure if you take your time with it and gather all the correct info and procedures then Im sure it could work out. Hopefully someone will have more specific answers for you soon

Hi there, Me my husband, my little boy and girl hav been out in Spain for a few months now, we bought a new build off plan, but being out here and on looking for another property that would have more room have come to notice that there are a lot of houses sold privatley, rather than go through the costly process with and estate agent, in fact I would say there are more selling this way that what is put in with a estate agent. My advice to you would be to come over to Spain, rent a car and have a bit of a driving holiday. Have a good look arround on the internet of the kinda areas you would like to buy in and have a good drive arround, there are so many properties with Se Vende signs up (for sale) you would be spoilt for choice, for both old need renovation work doing, to properties that are ready to move in.

If you do manage to find a suitable property that you are happy with and need any metal products making, my husband is a fantastic welder/fabricator and is very skilled at making items such as security gate and grills etc, please have a look at our website which is at the bottom of this page, and keep us in mind for any future metal work you may need.

Good luck on your quest to find the property you are looking for.
      Stacey
