Hi, just wanted to introduce myself.

Hi everyone, I'm Sara, I am 47 and currently live in Perth, Western Australia and am really wanting to return to live in the UK. Have been in Australia for 37 years, and although I am still a British citizen I am just wondering if anyone knows if I am likely to have any issues returning?

Hi Sara welcome to BA ......returning to the UK after 37 yrs would be a huge step for anyone ! I would feel quite claustrophobic going back to a small country crammed in with over 62 Million people in it ,even the thought of trying to park a car on those tiny roads would put me off.........Im in Perth too , what makes you want to go back Sara ? Have you been back to visit in those 37 yrs ? sorry to sound so negative but I cant think of many good reasons for returning apart from family .....but I do wish you good luck if you return.........

Thanks tonyman, glad to be onboard. Yes I agree it is a huge step and I can really appreciate your feelings, and no need to apologise you weren't being negative, just being honest, nothing wrong with that.
To be honest the reasons for me wanting to go back are many, however, the top of the list would be because I am in a rather unique situation. I don't drive or have a car, so that solves the parking problem. I suffer from progressive Multiple Sclerosis and I can no longer cope with the heat here. Not being able to drive, public transport and pathways in Perth suburbs are non existent which means I can't get anywhere and medical advancement for Multiple Sclerosis is way more advanced in UK than here, as they are already doing human stem cell trials with success, something Australia won't even talk about. I have many other reasons, however, I don't want to sound too negative towards Australia because it is just my opinion. Oh and yes, I have been back to visit during my 37 years here. I probably sound even more insane now for considering such a drastic move, but there go. Thank you for support though.
