Hi
have been living USA for 14 years and now planning to head back and take care of my MUM
have loved every minute of being here and hope to return when Parental duties cease
will be looking for advice on keeping my rsidnt status and also claiming any Retirement in UK as i just registered here in Seattle for retirement social security

Hi,

I assume you have a green card? If so you risk loosing your residency when moving away unless you get your citizenship. I believe you can claim your pension from SS once in the UK and the same for the other way round as long as you have paid in the minimum etc...not an expert in this as it's a long way off for us.
