HI, NZ teacher wanting work in London.

Hi, my name is Leah. I got refurred to this website by a friend who is working abroad in London :)
Not too sure how to navigate it.
I am an early childhood teacher from New Zealand. I hold a Bachelor of Education and am moving to London for a couple of years.
Does anybody have any recommendations about how to find work in Early Childhood centres/preschools in London? Or any links to help?
    Many thanks.
    Kind regards,
    Leah

    Hello Leah.

Nice of you to join us!

I am not sure myself about the wheres and the whats, but I do know that there is a place called "Table Hall Nursery" just outside of London to the west. DO NOT work there. Run and owned by a couple who could not care less about their staff or children in their care.

Apart from that, the best thing to do would be to just check online for places in the areas you are looking to live. Also, it may be a good idea to call the local councils in those areas and ask them about what they could do to facilitate your move and work.

Hi, thanks so much for replying to my message haha. Im glad I've managed to post it so people are able to see it lol.
    Thanks for your advice.
Do the councils in London (UK) help -or offer, travellers/outsiders? If so, thats so nice. I'm sure New Zealand's councils don't do that.

    Cheers :)

Hi there, I moved to the UK a few weeks ago and was looking for teaching jobs and used this site Adzuna. I found it pretty useful so I thought maybe it could help if you were looking to teach primary school children. You can make the location more specific then to just London if you know where you will be living. Anyway, hope you enjoy London!

Hi Leah, welcome to the site. Im not sure about your situation but once you have a working visa you shouldnt have too much trouble securing work...teachers are always in demand.
