"Happy New Year".. and did you go away over Christmas?

      If so.. where?

I took my 4 yr old and went up North a bit to Barrie to ski at snowvalley: http://www.skisnowvalley.com/ at $6 for him it was a bargain and only $20 for me as I wanted to teach him to ski so went on the beginner slope too obviously, but I think I'll wait until he's 6 yrs old next time and is a better listener

The tantrums did my head in, haaa. At least I got him to snow plough which was my goal as it's a good start, learning to stop and control yourself going down a hill. I couldn't use the skis I bought for him: http://www.mec.ca/product/5025-614/m...10+50006+50647

as they don't have brakes on them, too politically correct these days, I only intended to take him at the bottom of the beginner slope until he progressed slowly up it but hey ho! politics and all that (garbage).. so I will stick to a local hill near me for ongoing tuition I'll give him in a more fun way, so they gave me theirs complimentary which was nice..

http://www.booking.com/hotel/ca/supe...5c42d4f01e65X1 = Hotel I was going to stay at for 4 nights I cut down to 2 nights (friendly they didn't charge me for that), nice salt water pool but too small, and not the quietest of hotels it was near the downtown core it wasn't worth the price so stayed at two different ones on our way round in more quieter areas, which was more fun anyway, and ground level rooms so car parked directly in front was also more convenient, and it was cosy, my boy loved it, especially our last day here: http://www.bluemountain.ca/plunge_aqua_centre.htm
Couldn't get him to leave after 3 hrs as per usual as he loved it so much (as I always did at his age too), and unsurprisingly when I did, he fell straight asleep in the car (totally worn out, hooray!), and we ended up having one more night stop over as a snow storm started on our way home so it wasn't a good idea to drive in that..

So three different places in 5 days, made a nice and fun break for sure.. not boring that's for sure, but never is at my end, heh

heh. Staying home is not a bad idea either, if it's peaceful..

Son had a fun time at the local ice rink, a New years eve party for young children up to 3-6pm, he had a free ice skate which he loved, bouncy castle which he wouldn't get off when told to and then went back on when I told him to ask if he can just go back on again on coming off, which they said yes to, and their own little count down to New Years at 6pm so they could get to bed early still, my ears hurt with the noisy trumpets they all blew, ha!

As to no tears Tony.. BBC world news reading about children getting beheaded in Africa, and also North Korea saga is a bit worrying.. and the tears were yesterday at my end, I do hate making mistakes, and moving to an apartment that you think will be better than the last only to find it isn't, is no fun at all.. dislike selfish types who don't care and don't abide to the law, waking me up after midnight ongoing above me with bangs, until 3am this morning and started again at 7am! not exactly sound proof buildings here, and a landlady who just doesn't care (as well as the tenants) it isn't like it's the friendliest of buildings despite being small with 12 units, and I hate being lied to as the landlady did at how great it was here when it isn't, you never know until you are in it, wish I had had a crystal ball to know what I had let myself in for beforehand. Two weeks ago, I had abusive F'ing swearing notes on my car as wasn't told of anyone's parking spots just that we can park where we like on moving in, one tenant thought he could abuse me, so police made him apologize as I demanded an apology before I moved my car and better manners from the horrible man but he just chose to threaten and abuse me more instead. The superintendent of the building is NFI and just wants to do things when it suits him and doesn't want to be bothered at all, so it's hardly a friendly comfortable place to live in, and as a result I am finding myself having to move again as no way I can live here when I can't relax for another year. Also I don't like weed smoke pollution affecting us especially my young child from the tenant and his many visiting friends opposite us.
Why do the decent well behaved people always have to suffer, while the other selfish types never do?? At least on calling around to other places for rent they seemed more caring and concerned with what I've had to put up with all within a month of moving to this place.. I did want to be in a house not an apartment but not easy to find those, I'll be viewing a small one though. Might be worth moving a month earlier than 2 months time, I had to wear ear plugs to ensure I got my sleep in the end and got up nearer to midday as a result! (at least landlady accepted my request to move out as I can't stick this place or the selfish uncaring attitudes including hers and all they can say is 'call the police', which I had to do as no other option to put a stop to the noise harassment, maybe they don't have to work but I do), was fed up today to say the least, two weeks of being woken up, the days away recently were a break for me as well as the little one. It's times like this I want to be back in England again. Talk about feeling like you don't have much luck lately. Maybe if I move out of this crowded town to the countryside, even if a 20 min drive to work, it might be better..

Rant over, off to bed now.. quiet tonight but did want to ensure it would be as working tomorrow, never any guarantees though! I think of my youngster most and am mostly concerned about him, it's not fair.

      Happy New Year all

      Thank you..
it's looking good so far, my clients are lovely at least (home visit nursing I do) hospital skills in the community and I love it, what I always wanted to do, and they too said, I am doing the right thing to move and told me I am too good for those people, well that is how I felt the other day.. you can't talk sense to stupid folk who don't follow the law or the rules, it's impossible, get away from them is best and save my sanity, ha
Nice and quiet again tonight so far.. long may it last.

      Happy New Year
