Actually am starting to get itchy feet again now but may just be a passing phase. Not sure where I'd like to move onto from here. Oz sounds good but don't think I'd cope with the winter months

By winter months do you mean the heat?
It depends where in Oz you are, winter in Melbourne was wet and cold but in Cairns it isn't suppose to drop below 25, mind you I suppose that would be cold for you after being in the heat.
I am terrible for keep moving, every two years I want to move house, Melbourne is the longest I have stayed in one place lol. Now I am in Cairns though I can never imagine leaving.

Well that's interesting. I know Oz has brilliant summers but always assumed the winters were very cold and rainy. Has given me food for thought. Thanks guys. What's the employment situation like and how easy/difficult is it to emigrate there?

Im Cal also from Manchester but moved to Brisbane just over 4 years ago. Qld is a fab place with a pretty good climate but trust me winters in and around Brissy do feel cold, of course nothing compared to the UK but you do climatise quickly and feel it in winter. Thank god for Wood fires and flanelette PJs,lol

It all depends on what you do, it can be very hard to get in to unfortunately. What was Dubai like to get in?
