Thread: Moving From The UK To USA? Simple Terms Please

Hi everyone!

Myself and my partner currently live in the UK were looking to move to USA not sure on location yet know.

First question can anyone recommend some nice areas for a small family as we also have a 2 year old girl and maybe another child by the time we move so would like an ideal location to bring up our children. We are both in our 20's so a young family as well.

Secondly can someone explain in simple terms how we go about moving to the USA? Everywhere we look seems to bring us round in circles or complex answers not really answering the question. We do not have any family or friends over there, just really want a new start. At the present time we are both unemployed, I stay at home with my daughter and my partner has been made redundant. He's a qualified landscaper. Is this a SOL?

Were currently saving as much as we can to be able to move.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I think USA is one of the hardest places to get in to. I know when I was a lot younger I wanted to go to America but the only option them days was to head in to Canada.

Very difficult to obtain a work based visa unless highly qualified in a desired field and you can find a sponsor. The only route really would be to buy or start a business in the US. Maybe a landscaping business. You need capital for that, most raise it by selling their home.
