Thread: Moving to a different country

If you could move to any other country and visas etc were not a problem where would you go? I know my hubby fancies France but I think it would be too cold.

I would like to live somewhere like Spain , a small town with Tapas Bars, small bars where they serve wine and cheese and plenty of golf courses and not too far from a good football team to watch .............if they drove on the proper side of the road a hot European country may have been a consideration for me ....

Failing that... the South of France.

I've always fancied seeing Russia, China, Japan, and North Africa too.. but, none of them to live in.

I think I would quite like to live in Italy or Canada. Or maybe France too......or Hong Kong, a friend has just moved there and the photos look great!

Hong Kong is lovely for a holiday but I couldn't live there it is chaotic, it's an every man for themselves attitude, they push and shove everyone no matter if it's a pregnant lady or an elderly person. I loved Canada and would go back there if it was possible (wish i had gone for citizenship now)

I think Spain seems to be quite a popular place for Brits its not to far from back home, the weather is good and not bad in the winter, also there seems to be a great British expat group out there who stick together and have regular meet ups . Living in Canada is nice but where I live they don't seem to have meet up groups.
