      • Found these stats when clearing out boxes of old papers, magazines, etc.

      In 1959, after 2 yrs. in Canada we had a 1957 Chevy, and enough to put a down payment on a 3br. bungalow, in Lethbridge, with a clear view of the mountains, until further development obscured the view.
      My salary then was just over $3,000, my OH made somewhat more . The full price of the house was $13,700, but I could fill the trunk of the Chevy with groceries for around $22.
